@SW-User Sicily is interesting. More Greek ruins than in Greece. EU money is funding a lot of restoration in Agrigento on the southwestern coast.

China - it’s so geographically diverse 🐼🥢🙂

There are many beautiful countries, but having traveled rather extensively, i have to say it's my home, the United States, that is the most beautiful. It isn't that any single thing is more beautiful than some other country, it's that we have all that I've seen in many different countries. All and more than most.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@Really Yes, they are. Alaska's Misty Fjords essentially are part of the B.C. Coastline; same flooded glacial cuts into the landmass. All part of that language that separates us, as Churchill said.
Ontheroad · M
@dancingtongue Okay, it's really not worth arguing about - eye test or no, I'll stick with what I originally said.

@SW-User I lived there for a while as a student, and I loved the city. The trees in the streets are beautiful (mostly old lime trees), they add very much to the city's culture, whereas Paris, Rome and Vienna look like stony deserts in comparison. But hey, it's Germany, and the people are obsessed with being orderly, so even the trees in the streets are neatly numbered (there is a number plate on each tree) 😏

I know this will always surprise some people but it was definitely Romania. Czech Republic and Italy are gorgeous too although I mostly visited touristy places there. So...Romania

… you might consider adding "except your own country", in your question.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
Except for my own country, I've mostly visited capital cities so I don't have the full image of all these countries to talk about them as a whole, but as for beauty I will say it was Prague. It made me feel things, maybe it's because I felt like I was reading Franz Kafka and Milan Kundera just by seeing the place.
It has the river, colorful buildings, cobblestone streets, it's amazingly clean and it gives off Medieval fairy tale vibes.

Scotland with mountains, Italy’s coast and Germany plus polands forest’s,, wasn’t keen on Middle East
Really · 80-89, M
@Barny52 Scotland, yes - where I grew up; but I sure love the Oregon coast. Went there in the good old days when you didn't need a passport at what really was The Peace Arch: "You're Canadian? Carry on."
Don't have a passport any more and I won't be getting one. No more Alaska cruises, even. I despise officious border guards, and abhor sniffer dogs.
My buddy writes me "Don't you ever get off that island?" and I reply "NO - what for?"

I've only been to 9 countries, they all had different kinds of beauty, in scenery, architecture and culture. I find it hard to pick.
