What is the most beautiful country you have been to?

Or want to go to?
TexChik · F
Texas isnt bad.
TexChik · F
@helenS My hubby and I went up in May for a 3 day weekend of room service on the riverwalk...and a little dancing.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@TexChik lots of good history there..went on a historical tour a few years ago, the tour was dobe with missouri and texas conservation historians
helenS · 36-40, F
@TexChik The one thing I really had to learn was that America is not simply an extension of Europe...
Yes and the riverwalk was great.

@SW-User Sicily is interesting. More Greek ruins than in Greece. EU money is funding a lot of restoration in Agrigento on the southwestern coast.
SW-User
@Crazywaterspring Sicily is nice
SW-User
@Crazywaterspring Sicily does seem like a fascinating crossroads throughout history
BeJeweled · F
My own, USA 🇺🇸

I love going on road trips and will be going on one next week.🙂
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@BeJeweled Driving on Route 66 is on the list :)
Ontheroad · M
@BeJeweled I've had the good fortune to be able to take two 45 day road trips across the U.S. and while I've been through all but one or two states, I've still seen so little of the U.S.
BeJeweled · F
@Ontheroad Its a big counrty with amazing scenery.
romell · 51-55, M

China - it’s so geographically diverse 🐼🥢🙂
Ontheroad · M
There are many beautiful countries, but having traveled rather extensively, i have to say it's my home, the United States, that is the most beautiful. It isn't that any single thing is more beautiful than some other country, it's that we have all that I've seen in many different countries. All and more than most.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@Really Yes, they are. Alaska's Misty Fjords essentially are part of the B.C. Coastline; same flooded glacial cuts into the landmass. All part of that language that separates us, as Churchill said.
Ontheroad · M
@dancingtongue Okay, it's really not worth arguing about - eye test or no, I'll stick with what I originally said.

This is my own, my native land!"

DHggmu · 31-35, M
@Michmich That’s the most realistic one that I might go to next, being in the UK.
Michmich · 36-40, F
@DHggmu Do it!
helenS · 36-40, F
The most beautiful was probably America, the most interesting was probably Tunisia.
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@helenS Tunisia isn't one I've considered.. Don't know much about it.
helenS · 36-40, F
@DHggmu It's amazing combination of Western and Arabian culture elements.
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@helenS Experiencing new and interesting cultures is a big factor in where I would like to travel, maybe it'll go on my list :)

Berlin Germany 🇩🇪
Beautiful clean country,
Berlin Zoo worth a visit
helenS · 36-40, F
@SW-User I lived there for a while as a student, and I loved the city. The trees in the streets are beautiful (mostly old lime trees), they add very much to the city's culture, whereas Paris, Rome and Vienna look like stony deserts in comparison. But hey, it's Germany, and the people are obsessed with being orderly, so even the trees in the streets are neatly numbered (there is a number plate on each tree) 😏
Lilymoon · F
Canada... and I live here.
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@Lilymoon It does look beautiful.
SW-User
I know this will always surprise some people but it was definitely Romania. Czech Republic and Italy are gorgeous too although I mostly visited touristy places there. So...Romania
helenS · 36-40, F
… you might consider adding "except your own country", in your question.
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@helenS Yes I did somehow think alot of Americans would say the US, understandably of course.
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
@helenS the way the US is going, within my lifetime the landmass will be 3/4/5 separate countries
helenS · 36-40, F
@RoxClymer Let's all hope your fears won't materialize! 🌷
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
Except for my own country, I've mostly visited capital cities so I don't have the full image of all these countries to talk about them as a whole, but as for beauty I will say it was Prague. It made me feel things, maybe it's because I felt like I was reading Franz Kafka and Milan Kundera just by seeing the place.
It has the river, colorful buildings, cobblestone streets, it's amazingly clean and it gives off Medieval fairy tale vibes.
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
Mexico buuuut I haven't been many places
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
I heard Falakata has a lot to offer. 🤔
Barny52 · 56-60, M
Scotland with mountains, Italy’s coast and Germany plus polands forest’s,, wasn’t keen on Middle East
Really · 80-89, M
@Barny52 Scotland, yes - where I grew up; but I sure love the Oregon coast. Went there in the good old days when you didn't need a passport at what really was The Peace Arch: "You're Canadian? Carry on."

Don't have a passport any more and I won't be getting one. No more Alaska cruises, even. I despise officious border guards, and abhor sniffer dogs.

My buddy writes me "Don't you ever get off that island?" and I reply "NO - what for?"
Evened · 51-55, M
France and Canadas western coast are nice, probably many more places that I yet have to explore.
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
Switzerland looks Fn Amazing!
helenS · 36-40, F
@DHggmu Too f*cking expensive. Would you want to pay $8 for a simple cup of plain coffee?
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@helenS Had no idea it was that expensive :o
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
@helenS wouldn't want to live there, just a visit or two, just want to see those green valleys that turn into 3,000 ft rock walls, for myself
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I can't compare plus I've only seen very little of each country I visited.
SW-User
New Zealand
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@SW-User Another on my list
SW-User
@DHggmu I'd love to go back one day
royalblue1193 · 31-35, M
Germany looks cool
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@royalblue1193 Yeah, Berlin is on my list to go to.

Nimbus · M
USA, twice.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
I've never left South Africa, but Cape Town is really beautiful.
Unquestioned · 70-79, M
I've only been to 9 countries, they all had different kinds of beauty, in scenery, architecture and culture. I find it hard to pick.
empanadas · 31-35, M
