Can you be a Republican and support workers rights?

Reason10 · 61-69, M
Easy enough. Republican policies bring jobs from the Far East, creating more jobs than applicants. This makes workers high in demand, which means they will cost more and get paid more.
It has worked EVERY time a Republican President and a Republican Congress have been in office together.

DEmocrats do NOT support workers rights. Democrats TAX workers to pay for welfare bums and illegal aliens.

I assume you are talking about those vying for political office.

In the past, there were the few and far between.

But in today's political climate and the MAGA wing control of the party? Nope!

@beckyromero @beckyromero
The MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN wing (which is the vast majority of America) watched LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP use trade policies to bring manufacturing jobs from the Far East to America. This resulted in a surplus of jobs, which meant companies needed to pay more to attract workers. THAT'S supporting workers rights.

The NON MAGA group TAXES the workers to give that money to welfare bums and illegal aliens.

Think about it. Most Republicans are against unions.
missyann · 56-60
@DeWayfarer The one thing I disagree with republicans. My Dad had a union for 30 years at Cummins engine.without a high school diploma that allowed us to live a middle class life Manufacturing jobs don’t exist anymore.

Not everyone wanted to go to college some just wanted to be general laborers . It is a sad fact but everyone has to go to college today and pay high tuition and still don’t have jobs that allows them to purchase a single family home
@missyann While the education cartel actively suppresses the knowledge that trade schools, the Job Corps, and apprentice programs, exist.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@NativePortlander1970 with the advent of automation that is very very small sector compared to what it once was.

My father went through bakers trade school as a apprentice. And so did most of his school mates go to different trade schools in Czechoslovakia of the 1930s.

That situation would never work here however. Because the apprenticeship included room and board!

Today's corporations, much less businesses, would never stand for that!

Of course, but I hate Republicans, more than you do! 🙂

No, but they do like to pretend.

Unfortunately Reagan dismantled unions. I was
In high school when he was president and I thought I really liked him because he spoke patriotic and pro life. At the time I didn’t realize he was dismantling my Dads union job
@missyann I remember those times well, starting with his illegally firing the air traffic controllers that went on strike, it snowballed from there.
