It started for the most part around the time of Reagan when the Moral Majority started getting candidates elected. Then they made a deal with the Tea Party bunch around the time McCain was their candidate for President and made stoopid Sarah his running mate, they still lost. The Republican Party of old is long gone, now it is full of special interest idiocy paid for by lobbyists and gun nuts and voting for an outright grifter and moron as their candidate for President.

@RedBaron Oh there's not doubt he is that too but he's definitely a grifter too. As for him being a moron, all you have to do is listen to his speeches a couple of times and there will be little doubt that he is!
