A socialist is someone who thinks private industry should be nationalized. I doubt if you know anyone who thinks that. What’s interesting is that conservatives who say they hate socialism, love the military and law enforcement, both of which are socialized.

Libertarianism is interesting but there has never been a libertarian government on a national scale. Every attempt (like seasteading) has ended in failure.

I remember when trump won a few early primaries and people still didn't take him seriously. I told people at work that he might win because many people are sick of career politicians whose only concern is staying in office.
I also told my mom it didn't matter who ran against hillary. She was going to lose because she just wasn't likeable. She was a terrible public speaker who came across as shrill and angry all the time. People have to at least on some level like a candidate.

Socialism would never even work. Idk how anybody can even think that's realistic. I'm a libertarian as well, I don't lean left or right. I'm in the center, a moderate if you will. I don't even ever vote because I hate politicians in general.

The Twin Cities are a jokes running by Democrats. They've really gone downhill fast. Although I don't lean at all towards liberals/Democrats.
