If they came into your home uninvited, wouldn't you want them removed???

Give them more benefits than the American taxpayer.
Why the dedicated headlong rush to make America less Caucasian?
Just those two quotations from your bitter spiel tell us a lot about your attitudes to other people.
George Orwell’s 1984 is quickly becoming reality.
That's right. Orwell warned about 'newspeak' disguising falsehood as truth and the danger of a personality cult.
I have every sympathy for a country (including my own) where we can't find decent politicians to inspire and manage a diverse nation. I also have to fight against complete cynicism where everyone and everything is hopeless. Just because certain groups want to blame other groups for everything that's wrong, doesn't mean I have to join in.
From your point of view perhaps you need to find some honorable Republicans to regain the moral right to govern...but that will take a clear out of the current lot first. Perhaps honorable Democrat (or Independents?) would be best in the near future? Remember, Winston Smith and his associates left it too late to rebel.

I dunno....i dont think of people's personality depending upon their colour.
It blows me out how so many americans dont see how racist they have become, because its fed into their media from day dot.
In Aus we have immigrants.
And yeah, we get pissed that we wish our vertans and hard done by got the same privileges they currently do .
But its a process.
We wouldn't be the fun loving, freedom giving, chill place that we are if we started the hate and the envy and the nastiness that we see and hear from America as an example.
I work with all types. People who have come from all over....in need of a new life.
And they work hard for it.
Harder than some privileged born here aussies
So im all for it.
Diversity and acceptance of it is a wonderful, socially broadening thing that only makes life better.
Open arms

@OogieBoogie You dont have 12 to 15 million illegal immigrants there. Its not racist to think those breaking the law should be held to account.
I have no issue with immigrants here legally, I dont care where from. Have worked with several, seen some achieve citizenship. Cheer them for it.
The differences are night and day.

I'm just going to piss everyone off, from both sides, but say something unpopular anyway. There's a middle ground.
We need immigration reform.
We can't just let everyone in. We don't have the infrastructure or social services for that, there has to be a limit. We can't let our guilt about participating in wars in the middle east influence our quotas for bringing people here.
We need to look at why people are coming here. Is it the land of opportunity? I've heard over and over, across my entire lifetime how bad America is, why would we ever want to bring people here then? Also, this is not manifest destiny, we don't have the west to conquer anymore. We don't have free land to give. We just can't.
There needs to be some sort of documentation process. How do we know the people coming here will be valuable members of society when they can't even prove they are who they say they are.
The people that snuck here are giving all migrants that did it legally a bad name. Why do the work, when you can just sneak in and get everything for free? Where is the incentive?
All that being said, you need to treat people with respect and compassion. That doesn't mean just leaving them alone and not deporting them. But there could be a path to citizenship for everyone. If you are here illegally, you must leave, fill out the paperwork, and wait in line like everyone else. Ramp up the immigration office. Use ice agents to do background checks, get more immigration lawyers and judges.
And lastly, about the "melting pot". I don't see a lot of melting from certain groups coming here. My ancestors spoke German and Polish, and learned English, and shared values with the existing settlers they moved in next to. Now we have no go zones in our largest cities. How is that sustainable?
Coming to America should be an attainable dream for law abiding people of the world. It shouldn't be impossible, and if you make it too difficult, people will just find a way around it.

I agree but wonder if the media blows it out of proportion. Idk I live in Texas so most people here think like you and I.

We need the labor. Procreation barely hits net zero, so we rely on immigration to support our current system by population growth.

Bernie Sanders serves the American people for a contracted salary.
Donald Trump, "self-made entrepreneur" has filed for bankruptcy on six occasions, leaving a liability of around $4bn in unpaid taxes, court judgements, and unpaid bills. The 86 mainly white collar criminals he has pardoned since returning to office owe around $1.3bn in fines and victim restitution that will now go unpaid.
Now who lives off taxpayers the most?

@SunshineGirl LOL, now tell us about the other 300 businesses he owns or has owned, and the billions he has poured into the IRS

@sunsporter1649 Businesses pay tax at a rate agreed by the legislature to offset their consumption of public goods such as roads, policing, fire service, burger deliveries, etc.
Meanwhile, Trump charges an estimated $1.35m to the tacpayer for his regular golfing weekends in Florida.

Its not wrong. Period. Clinton and Obama both did it .. without all this sanctuary city b.s. that was created specifically to counter Trump.
You dont want to die ? Dont interfere with a legitimate law enforcement activity by aiming a vehicle at and contacting an officer .. or butting into an active arrest situation with a loaded gun and extra clips on your person.
It aint frigging rocket science.
