People who say they’re Christian and a Conservative, that’s an impossible mix. Your party says immigration is bad. But your god says:

Genesis 1:26-27: States that all people are made in the image of God and have inherent dignity

Deuteronomy 10:17-19: Commands God's people to love foreigners because they were once foreigners in Egypt

Exodus 22:21: States that foreigners should not be mistreated or oppressed

Leviticus 19:34: States that foreigners should be treated as native-born and loved as yourself

Leviticus 25:35: States that poor Israelites should be helped as if they were foreigners

Matthew 25:35: States that welcoming strangers is a way to show hospitality

Hebrews 13:2: States that hospitality to strangers should not be neglected

All the verses are nice but that’s not today’s reality.
We have an administration that abused our security and sovereignty for political purposes and power.

Let’s look at the Haitians: They’re here under “ temporary protected status”. Their country is under siege by gangs and now a multi national military force led by Kenya has deployed there to deal with the crisis of gangs pretty much in an attempt at overtaking the nation.
Now FYI the Haitian military has approximately 1500-2000 military. Ohio as a state recently highlighted, got an influx of 15-20,000. Haitians. They should be sent back and forced to Join their military so they won’t have to flee for whatever reasons they did.
@soar2newhighs By this logic, America never would have had immigration. Those Irish people who came here to escape persecution from the British Empire? Send them back, force them to fight the British!
America was built on people who migrated for a better life. You're basically saying the American experiment was wrong.
@BohemianBabe Seems you’re ok with the unvetted masses crossing our borders. Coming from you I am not surprised that this is your stance.
@soar2newhighs You said the Haitians in Ohio should be sent back, but they're here legally. So we're talking about legal migrants here.
@BohemianBabe They’re here under temporary” protected status”. I’m saying they should be returned to support the country they left.
@soar2newhighs So you're also against legal migration?
@BohemianBabe Boo gets clarification…
@soar2newhighs Yes, and you're saying they should be sent back so that they could work on making Haiti better.
Well, why stop there? Why not send back the Ukrainians who came here to escape Russia's invasion? Why not send back every immigrant who came here to escape poverty?

By this logic, America would never have had immigration or guess worker programs, like the one in Springfield.
@BohemianBabe Ob I’m sorry…I called you Boo.

The only ones I see worthy of staying are the Afghanis. There is a war in Ukraine and while Ukrainians get refuge here, our tax dollars support their failing effort. Why don’t they defend their homeland?
Same applies to the Haitians.

Just curious , but if ever we went to war and it came here would you flee or support this country?
@soar2newhighs That's pretty crazy. You're against America's founding principles.

I'd support this country, but I also understand people fleeing. I don't expect Ukrainian parents with young children to try raising those kids in a warzone. Of course we should all do what we can to improve our countries, but in a life or death situation, there isn't always time for change.

@soar2newhighs Like Biden said, "The very idea of America that we are all created equal. We've never fully lived up to that idea, but we've never fully walked away from it either."
It's true, America never lived up to its own principles. However, the history of America is a history of moving closer and closer to fulfilling the ideas of the Enlightenment. We've become more democratic, more free.
But you're saying the western values America was founded on are wrong, so we actually should go back to less democracy, less freedom, and closed borders.
