Wow I didn't know that tune is by Fauré! I've always thought it's from a Hollywood movie soundtrack. Thank you! 🌷

Amazing. I could sit back in my recliner, close my eyes, and listen to that over and over again and feel myself drawn more and more deeply into it.
@DrWatson Yes. I was looking for something particularly soothing and found this artist. This was originally a piano piece, but the fact that he took the arrangement for strings and coordinated all the parts so wonderfully blows my mind. 🤯

@bijouxbroussard I find it fascinating when a piece for one instrument is transposed onto a different one.

I once was listening to NPR, where there was a story about a musicologist concluding that Bach's famous organ piece, "Toccata and Fugue" was originally written for viola. (There was not a historical record of this, but he somehow deduced this from the structure of the music.) So he or someone else then rewrote it for viola, and NPR broadcast it. I liked it! (Not sure if I am convinced of the premise, but it was fascinating to listen to.)

There is something so spiritual about the sound of a cello!
