Rachmaninoff, "Rhapsody On A Theme of Paganini" Opus 43 (18th Variation)

I love all of the variations, but this, imo is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever.
And from a man who wrote some incredibly beautiful music.

Yes it is a beautiful "tune." My band just started playing a medley from the TV series Victory at Sea, no idea why this post brought that there mind, except that I was into classical music when that show was popular. Both are very stirring.

@bijouxbroussard funny, the third movement in our version says to play it ,"majestically!" Of course the original Robert Russel Bennett arrangement was for a full orchestra. We are a community bands.
