Things are getting really both weird and dangerous. Why would anyone really want to go back a century worth of public health. I was a resident in Pediatrics in NY City in the 1960s. Every single night at least one child was admitted to my service with a vaccine preventable illness. Many became severely damaged or died! Do we really want to see that again? Many physicians currently in practice have never seen many of the diseases we immunize against, most have no idea how suddenly a child can go from happy alive, to dead!

@Roundandroundwego i will give you the benefit of doubt and think you are just confusing rubella, aka German measles, with rubeola, red measles. I also don't know if you are trying to be sarcastic. I did go to high school with at least a handful of others who used iron braces and crutches because their legs were almost useless to them because of the damages from polio!

@AthrillatheHunt We used to have dozens of kids blinded by measels when vaccines came out but parents were basically too poor to go to the pediatrician. Should I delete the above, or did I make sense? Because when you definitely want to side with blindness for children just to yank my chain I think I should stop talking to people and let the West go.
