A flat tire..... allowed my life
In 1989 my mom and her sister were visiting the West coast of Florida on vacation.
While finding admiration for boats along a marina they met a man who owned one. They struck up a conversation which lead to a kindly offer to provide my mom and my aunt a boat ride along the intercoastal the following day.
In route....they had a flat. Took most of the morning to get fixed....as neither are that kind of girl to...do it themselves.
No boat ride.
Wasn't till much after their vacation ends that my mom recognized the man on the national new ....Oba Chandler, arrested for the murder of a woman and her two daughters visiting Tampa Florida on vacation.
Their bodies were found floating in the bay.
He was executed in 2011.
What a difference a day makes.
