Jimmy Buffett

His death is hitting me a little harder than I ever could imagine. I met him a couple of times and got his autograph. I have his "Don't Stop the Carnival" movie poster. Saw him in concert many times. I didn't know he was sick so his death was a big surprise.

Loved his music even if it didn't make much sense.

We’re losing iconic musicians seemingly every day it seems. This was a little more personal for most of us. Because he was one of us. His concerts were events and everyone in attendance were friends with each other and him. Sad day musically and personally.

@JesseInTX i knew you would understand. he gave a route of escapism. he offered the avenue of silliness and people could do whatever they wanted. the funny dresses and the drinking...he lived close by believe it or not..

@akindheart he died out here in LI. Had (I'm sure) a mansion in Sag Harbor

@Slade i didn't know that. makes sense. i could not find if they cremated him or what. by that time, he was too far gone, right?

@akindheart He'd been in hospice there at least a week. His family brought in his dogs when he passed 🦮
