does your city have a skid row?

the downtown east side in my city is a pretty scary place
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
Not a skid row but there is a ravine where a lot of them live in tents, even in super cold winter weather. They are pretty harmless.
@Jenny1234 That technically is a skid row.
@Jenny1234 yeah...we have some down the street from me in a lacrosse box. they've been there a while. we have plenty of trees in my city that would give them some more shelter. i think they moved on after the snow storm we had a few days ago but they left a mess behind

It's always the east-side of any city that's the scary part
@SW-User i live in a suburb of that place and unfortunately some are moving in to my town
Lilymoon · F
The homeless population here is growing like crazy. 🫤
@Lilymoon same...and it's not just localized to the downtown areas
I don't know but we have a lot of homeless here.
BarbossasSpouse · 36-40, F
I live in a municipality with only 9k people, and yet we do have one. Never thought of it like that before. So many people lost and outside of the system, even in a tiny place like this. That's sad.
Fluffybull · F
I wouldn't call it skid row, but at the other side of our town there are some hideously ugly flats 🤮

the housing commission areas..

'housos'...
SW-User
No, but the homeless seem to be growing in number.

The city closest to me is nothing but a big unsafe ghetto save for some few select parts
Lilnonames · F
i lived in one when i was homeless,its tight knit and they look out for there own they will share most things except drugs
Lilnonames · F
@beermeplease i agree they have nothing more to lose,those are the type get a gun kill who and as many they can,they shoot schools up to hurt many
slorollin · 41-45, M
@Lilnonames that's how ours is here. It's a tent community and they watch each other's backs pretty good
@Lilnonames true..it's not as bad in canada cus we don't have the population like the states and it's a little more difficult to own guns here but the way we treat the mentally ill is unacceptable. when i hear about mass shootings in the states on the news and how they know the gunman had issues in the past but chose to ignore them is alarming and concerning
Lilnonames · F
If they were illegal immagrants biden would house them all
@Lilnonames that's how it goes. leaving our mentally ill people like veterans suffering ptsd to fend for themselves
@Lilnonames Exactly

Tennessee the meth capital of the usa
@Lilnonames really bad here too
