@ProfessorPlum77 One was spotted within about a half-mile from where I used to live in a village. There is a fairly shallow river nearby and a state employee (Thinking a game warden because the river is closed off to the public for fishing) and there are a lot of deer and turkey in the area and poachers have been known to hunt around that area. The state employee made a report about the sighting but wished to remain anonymous. It’s a wooded around up and down the river which leads to a state park about a mile and a half away. There is another report that happened within my city on the other side next to a small airport. There’s a fairly dense patch of woods, rather small in the spot where it was sighted. Homeless had pitched tents but not many, just a handful & it was a quiet place. There is also a grocery store and outdoor mall down the road so they could buy food and fill up water jugs at outdoor hydrants. One of the homeless said he and his girlfriend had been living in that spot for about a couple years and the man was walking back to his tent and spotted one, he made eye contact and said it was tall, he high-tailed it back to his tent. I don’t know how much protection he thought the tent had but maybe the creature feared civilization enough stay back. This story was posted on Phantoms and Monsters website and the man said that they moved out of the sight somewhere else a couple years back. The camp was torn down by the city this summer, there were only 5 people living there then. This area has had a lot of development in the past 15 years, houses are being built everywhere there’s vacant land and if it was living a mile or two to the north maybe it decided to migrate somewhere else.

@cherokeepatti Incredible! And frightening.

@ProfessorPlum77 so many new housing developments now if they are really living out in those areas they will be migrating and trying to find a new place to live.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout They will in Oklahoma. Someone put a reward out for a Bigfoot dead or alive and there were people wanting to hunt one down

Oklahoma?

@MasterLee We’ve had them here. They were reported in the late 1800’s by Choctaw Indians in their territory in southeastern Oklahoma. There is a story called “The Human War” that happened during that time. Choctaw children had been coming up missing for weeks. The men had a council meeting and decided to send out a search party to see if they could find any of those children. What they found was a bone pile of human bones laying on top of the ground. They saw these Bigfoot creatures and declared war on them and fought them. I doubt that Whites thought the story was credible. But there are still people who have spotted them and also the weird things they do like break over trees in a makeshift “hiding shelter”. Also sighted in northern Oklahoma in the Creek territory. There was a Creek Indian that worked at the car lot where I later worked and he would talk about the Bigfoot stories in the area.
