Why don't the Gospels cover Jesus a teenager?

They kind of go from Baby Jesus to a year or so before his death. What's up with that?

Because God's word deemed it unnecessary to record those years. Why?

@BritishFailedAesthetic It’s rather odd.
@Bumbles Not really, no.

@BritishFailedAesthetic You’re not curious? Just the first and last chapter? Begs questions, no?
@Bumbles Nope.

@BritishFailedAesthetic are you generally not a curious person or when it comes to religion you get solace in not using your mind?
@Bumbles There are a number of topics to be open minded about- I love astronomy and wine. The debate about how new movies have gone,etc.

But God's word is God's word.

@BritishFailedAesthetic That’s why I asked specifically about religion. It seems not having robust curiosity is part of the appeal. That is, absolutely security. As you use a circular argument “Gods word is Gods word” to illustrate the point.
@Bumbles I will be open minded on a ton of topics and this is what surprises my secular family and friends- I will listen to what God's word says.
