Why don't the Gospels cover Jesus a teenager?

They kind of go from Baby Jesus to a year or so before his death. What's up with that?

@G0ddess Ooh, I like that. Buddha was born 500 years earlier and there were many other religious traditions much closer from India. Islam would not appear for another 500 years.
