I don't like Jesus Christ

I don't like Jesus Christ or this human representation of a deity. Just another authoritarian dictator trying to control people's lives. This is really about human beings trying to create an understanding of life through this image of Jesus Christ when all that it really is is human beings trying to exert their control on how people think feel and behave. That's all that it is. The Bible the New and Old Testament are simply writings by human beings interpreting their understanding of life and using it to control people and how they think and feel and behave. And they do it through manipulation propaganda lies of violence and hatred towards anything that is different from themselves. This is something that I cannot believe. The latest kick is the lgbtq community.. just another example of religious Christian authoritarianism and dominance over anything that is not like themselves.

Just another authoritarian dictator trying to control people's lives?

Jesus came down for the sole purpose of sacrificing himself to wash away our sins and iniquities, so that we may all be able to enter God's perfect Garden.
James25 · 61-69, M
@Iwillwait but he created hell and that is the purest form of evil.
Iwillwait · M
@James25
Hell is a place of suffering originally prepared by God for the devil and his angels (Matthew 18:9; 25:41)
paulisretired · 51-55, M
God does not control anyone. We started in this world with free thought, everything bad or evil was and is a choice made by humans after the fact. Now, in THIS world we live in, we live with the consequenses of bad behavior and choices of those in the past. There is no control of or by God.
James25 · 61-69, M
@paulisretired exactly very good I agree.

Exactly 👆👆👆how I used to view Jesus (years ago).... before actually getting to know Him. This is a typical mindset of an average mind that never deeply for some reason reached for God, unfortunately. Jesus is the best thing that happened to this world and the best “person” I ve ever known.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@InHeaven when Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount that helped create a mindset for people that they were able to change their way of thinking and how they viewed their problems. Problems can be learning experiencing and teach us compassion and help strengthen society when we show compassion and empathy due to those experiences. It got them out of their “ I am cursed” mindset and showed them that they can have strength to overcome.
Jesus was authoritarian? 🤔

...because if hell was created for humans@paulisretired then why do we need this life on Earth 🤔🤔 there would just be Heaven (where God “lives”) and hell (burning punishment for disobedient people). Short and simple. And God would be done with it. Why would He even put Himself through crucifixion, teaching, through all of that. For only one reason, to separate His children (all human souls, that contain His breath) from demons (non repentant spirits) by repentance, by His blood. Thats why there is still not the end of the world yet...we are still here...He hasn’t burned this place down yet cause there are still people here who can repent and can be saved. He is still extending time...And everyone disobeyed God( one way or another),but not everyone is in hell, and no one gets immediately sent to hell. God waits 80-90 years, whole human life. I disobeyed God most of my life, and I am still not in hell... because the goal for Jesus is not to “send people to hell who disobey Him”....but to bring them to repentance, so they can be cleansed by His blood and returned to Him... in Heaven. Redeemed
paulisretired · 51-55, M
@InHeaven Yes, we were given free thought to be like Him but then the need to offer repentence became necessary.

Well, as the fairytale says:

Revelation 2:26-28 (ERV) = 26 “I will give power over the nations to all those who win the victory and continue until the end to do what I want. 27 They will rule the nations with an iron rod. They will break them to pieces like clay pots.[a] 28 They will have the same power I received from my Father, and I will give them the morning star."

Revelation 12:4-6 (ERV) = "4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and threw them down to the earth. It stood in front of the woman who was ready to give birth to the baby. It wanted to eat the woman’s baby as soon as it was born.

5 The woman gave birth to a son, who would rule all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was taken up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman ran away into the desert to a place that God had prepared for her. There she would be taken care of for 1260 days."

Revelation 19:14-16 (ERV) = "14 The armies of heaven were following the rider on the white horse. They were also riding white horses. They were dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 A sharp sword came out of the rider’s mouth, a sword that he would use to defeat the nations. And he will rule the nations with a rod of iron. He will crush the grapes in the winepress of the terrible anger of God All-Powerful. 16 On his robe and on his leg was written this name:

king of kings and lord of lords"

Well, I guess in due time you will fully comprehend the gravity of consequences of your disdain for Him.
James25 · 61-69, M
@Anton you just proved my point
Anton · 56-60, M
@James25 There is no "proving" of nothing going on here. Your ill feelings or disdain for God has nothing to do with Who and what God is, it is about you wanting to live your life without restrictions, rules and accountability. What you don't understand is that God made men and He knows what is good and bad for us and therefor put parameters down for us to live by, and it's all for our well-being and eternal life. We are not supposed to die, God didn't create us to experience death. We were created eternal beings. But sin caused us to die and we are in the predicament that we are right now, each one to his own. Still, God provided a way out of this mess. You just don't want to accept His way out, which is the only way out, and now you blaspheme Him calling Him a dictator, torturer and who knows what else. God is not the enemy here. You want to indulge, without consequence, in all death's commodities and features. Doing that you don't just hurt yourself but others around you too, and also perpetuate sin and death even more. Rest assured there are many thinking and acting just like you do, that is why there is a narrow gate to Life and a huge gate to Death. Those of us who experience(d) grace and have the assurance of Life eternally realize how close we were to experience eternal damnation and Hell, and also understand why, should we have rejected God's call to saving grace, it would have been fair and just for us to end up in a place of punishment, agony without hope to ever escape therefrom for ever. That is why I say to you again: You can hate God now, in this life, all you like, you can blaspheme Him and call Him what ever you want to, BUT, that inevitable the day that you stand before Him and your life is scrutinized and the chances and reprimands and warnings and opportunities you were given to grab His hand to rescue and it then being to late, you will realize the gravest mistake you made ever not to have responded. The other thing: Do you think it matters to me what you do, what you think, what you say? No it doesn't. I love you the way I love the rest of the world: To saving grace. That's it. Other than that you don't matter. What does concern me is that you, and and all I come into contact with, that they heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then they are without excuse. When this life is over and in eternity I'm not going to think of you, I probably won't even be at your Judgment seat Trial, not even as a spectator.

that sudden jump to LGBTQ was weird, yo

My head hurts, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus... 🎶

@pentacorn agreed
specman · 51-55, M
I guess you want your opinion known? Just curious why do you want your opinion known?
James25 · 61-69, M
@specman to point out your inability to accept anything different from yourselves. Anything that is different from your Doctrine is condemned to Eternal suffering. How is this good?
specman · 51-55, M
@James25 So in your opinion you believe the Christian religion is man-made?
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
you'l be sorry on the day of judgement heathen.
James25 · 61-69, M
@darkmere1983 thank you perfect example of the inability to accept differences in others. How is it that someone different from yourself should be sorry? Because anyone who is different from you and your beliefs should be condemned.
