um not so much Nazi ism is laregly mainline christian (hashtag gott mit uns)

Hitler wanted to be a Catholic priest at oine point in his life / he infused his Christian beliefs into the German gov. I suspect the reason Germany is not so religious today was fallout from the Christian influence on their government in that time period

but boy do they have a propoganda machine to distance themselves from it today. "hitler was an atheist" " hitler was a pagan"" the catholic church was against nazism" Jewishi holocaust resources are probably good sources because of the white-washing of church involvement with nazi ideology

it is knida sad but i remember studying WW2 in history class and the classes would talk about the evil germans, evil japanese, evil italians but intentionally omitted Christianities role in the holocaust

i wonder when other countries teach WW2 history if they also omitt religions role. I mean it is kinda hard to intentionally skate around--it was a religious persecution
