I do not have a very high opinion of Christianity

I really don't think much of Christianity. It's just basically a group of people who are judgmental of anyone different from themselves. Who rely on the Bible to completely guide them in life. They seem to think that people are evil. People are inherently bad. And need to be saved by Jesus. The only way that we can possibly become good is ask Jesus to forgive us for being evil. I do not consider myself to be evil. And I certainly have the ability to make good moral decisions in life. I can choose to be good because that is what I think is the right thing to do. What is going on probably is that Christians think that they are bad people and need to be saved. Because they don't have any ability to stop themselves from being evil. Where as I myself don't really need to be saved because I have the ability to actually be good for its own sake. Because that's what I want to be. Because that is the right way to be. Show kindness understanding patience empathy and a willingness to help others. It really isn't that difficult to realize how to be good. And I certainly am capable of doing so. I don't need to be saved by Jesus because I am evil. Because I am not evil. I am a good person. But then these Christians say that if you do not ask God to be saved from your sins you will burn in hell for all eternity. Another problem I have with Christianity. That they want people to suffer for all eternity. If that be the case then Christians actually are evil. What is actually going on with Christians is that they feel they cannot control the evil within themselves and they need a God a Jesus to save them from being evil people. And that part of them that is evil wishes others to suffer if they do not believe in Jesus Christ. They are actually projecting their own insecurity in there inability to be good people. Sorry but that's not my problem so I don't need to believe in you Jesus Christ. I don't wish anyone to suffer no matter what they have done.
What a bunch of drivel.

Your works do not save you.

Such a 2008 criticism.
I do not consider myself to be evil
Oh well, that's God told then 馃槅
And I certainly have the ability to make good moral decisions in life.
Only by God's common grace.

If we wished it on you we wouldn't tell you the gospel, genious.

And quit pretending you follow your own morals all the time, noone does, people who brag about their morals tend to be the people with the worst morals.
@BritishFailedAesthetic So, you admit you don't know shit about me, and that your only reason for calling it false is because of some old book.

Good. Now that we've got that straight, let's move on.
@LordShadowfire Sure. But you're not going to convince me that my wife doesn't exist and in the same way you're not going to convince me that Jesus doesn't exist.
@BritishFailedAesthetic The difference is there's evidence for your wife's existence. Try convincing me that Jesus exists.

You've just judged a load of people for judging.

Which speaks to my personal belief that non-believers are far more moral than the vast majority of Christians. And even with that, who needs to follow ritual, be part of a group and lean on ancient writings of others to have a road map on how to be "good." It's not that complicated.

Thank you for that most intellectual and erudite exposition. I so enjoy a deep theological discussion.
I'm going to go a step further. Good and evil are arbitrary concepts, created from an anthrocentric perspective. The so-called moral code or code of ethics is just a bunch of rules humans agreed to live by when we started forming communities to protect ourselves against large carnivores.

But then if we start to pull that thread, this whole artificial concept of civilization we've created starts to unravel, and we go back to murdering each other. So we might just as well go with it.
