has christianity dwindled in the uk

i am a catholic christian and haven't been to church, well, since i was a kid, which was long ago...i'd like to attend a catholic mass again sometime soon, when i went long ago i used to love the atmosphere of church and seeing the regulars there and having a chat to them and afterwards, when i left church, my soul would feel cleansed.

I state this as a warning that Jesus gave.
1 Corinthians 11:28-29
Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

@Pfuzylogic just the bread and wine (or grape juice) really become the body and blood of Jesus Christ? Or is it only a symbol?

Are you taking communion?

@Pfuzylogic you dont answer a question with another question. I asked you a multiple choice question. So answer my question please and thank you sir (or ma'am, or whatever non- binary pronoun you prefer.)

Just because you ask me a question doesn’t mean i need to answer it in your way. Are you taking communion?

If so then heed the scripture.
@Prisoner1972 Whether or not you believe in transubstantiation--a word not used by Jesus, nor created until ca. the 13th century?-- @Pfuzylogic is offering a quote from a Pauline espistle...which is in the Bible and is given as a precursor to taking communion/participating in the Eucharist.
