Is there any Christian brethren or sistren that are versed in the bible or our religion?

I wish to learn more about the big man in the sky, but I’ve come to learn it’s not as simple as picking up a bible.

There’s so many bibles I don’t know which one I should be reading, I just know the big guy in the sky ALWAYS had my back!

Im a spiritual person but struggle being what I’m told is a good Christian, I haven’t had a pleasant life so I’m not your average “turn the cheek” type of Christian and I’m working on not cussing as much.

I remember in Sunday school they told me the lord warns of false prophets and idols that try to separate us from god. I don’t wanna be without god ever! 🙏

For those of you not Christian I wish you blessings of your designated deities or lack their of. 🤝

I first read the New King James Bible.. That lead me to becoming a Christian. I now read the King James Bible..

If i was a new Christian i would at lest read the New Testament.. Which incidently is not a really long read.. The majority of scripture in the Bible is The OLD Testament..

Jesus said in the New Testament that ONLY GOD IS GOOD.. So there are NO GOOD Christians.. There are only Christians who believe God and trust God.. In the final judgement these Christians will have their sins forgiven and will be gifted eternal life in Gods perfect eternal existence.. Not because they where good enough but because they will be justly forgiven all the bad things that made them not good enough..

As for false prophets.. Yep there are many many false prophets doing the rounds.. Many of them speak from church pulpits weekly to congregations who assume they are Christians.. So make sure you are a follower of the LORD Jesus rather then a follower of men..

@Adstar Christians will have their sins forgiven only if they repent and accept Jesus Christ as the messiah. Otherwise what’s the point. There are a lot of people who claim to be”Christian”but don’t even attempt to follow Gods laws.
