Jesus said Christians should be known for how deeply we love. Yet studies show that in the eyes of many non-Christians, we’re known for how deeply we

JUDGE. I have experienced this personally. What are your thoughts on overcoming feelings of hurt and rejection when you socialize with a large church group?

Unfortunately I think a large part of this is a byproduct of the times we're living in. People will say "The Christians I know personally are pretty good people, but Christians, Christians are so judgey" Similarly we'll say "The Republicans I know are pretty good people, but Republicans are really xxxxxx" or similarly "The Democrats I know are good people, but Democrats are so xxxxxxx."

So many of our opinions are not formed from first person experience or deep examination of facts. Or, we take one experience and apply it to a group as a whole.

Another problem is that the judgey Christians and churches make a lot more noise - and get outsized attention in today's attention-seeking environment.

@syfy86 In my own experience, with multiple individuals in my church... I wish I could say that only 4 or 5 of the congregation are the SAME ones who are judgmental. And while that is true, but it is also true that I am often shocked and hurt by a surprise entrant into that arena.
