I do not understand why Christians dislike it when I respond to Bible verses with other Bible verses.

It is almost as if they do not wish an open discussion of the validity of their source.

I don't mind it at all, I'm all for discussion but I dislike the ones who deliberately come to respond to my posts to prove a point even after the fact that they're not Christians themselves or even believe in God. Just wanting to pick a fight and argue for no reason at all. I myself, do not enjoy responding back to people like that. However, if you're a fellow believer too, I'm open to discussing it because with the many different branches and denominations of Christianity, we all don't believe in the same faith, traditions, or customs, or even follow the same doctrines. Plus, we all don't read the same version of the Bible either. Sometimes, you learn new things, or sometimes, you disagree but respect the other side for at least sharing their perspective on a matter.

@ChristianDailyWord I am not a Christian. I responded to a post with what I consider problematic verses which prove the Bible to be a less than ideal source, shall we say?

I posted the first, which another user attempted to explain. Emboldened, I shared another. That same user attempted to explain it. I shared a third, and the original poster blocked me.

@CorvusBlackthorne Interesting. I agree with you 65%, I wouldn't say the Bible is the greatest handbook of life, but there are some good moral and behavioral lessons that some people can reflect on, meditate on, and apply to their own personal lives. Based on what I've gathered, if they know how to "read between the lines", I get what you mean totally though.

Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.

The Bible is filled with (IMO) a bunch of short stories from various men throughout MANY years from 6 BC to 95 AD. You interjecting a contradictory passage - from someone else - doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's not very well informed and I wouldn't be inclined to (let's be honest) debate with you about something personal. Just because someone isn't attending your argument doesn't necessarily mean they are wrong.

Live and let live.

No, it's because it's pointless and adds nothing to the discussion
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@SW-User Perhaps I seek out debate. Had you considered that?

@CorvusBlackthorne i have also seen you post about doing dangerous stuff after getting into drama here

@SW-User Have you? I do not recall.

Well, it depends. Are you responding to a post that is clearly aimed at other believers? Because I see a lot of atheists respond to posts like that and I don't see the point.
I'm a Christian, I am open to discussion. Many religions have similar bible verses that originated from the Holy Bible.

Christians don’t get along with anyone.

@DocSavage Not true. Evangelical Christians have no friends.
