Bible interpretations

It's interesting putting effort into reading the Bible. After now having read through to 2 Corinthians. I find it fascinating thinking back to how words in the past have been mis interpreted, intentionally or not.

It does say a lot about everyone having their role and responsibility...that stuff is pretty heavy especially in 2026.

What I found interesting was how yes, it does tell people to have modesty, and especially towards women, but Its also funny when you compare to how many more times the Bible aims at men saying we need to basically 'have some damn self control'.

No big controversial take here, just find it morbidly funny how many men in power over the centuries seemed to completely skip over the book of Corinthians lol... (Maybe I have it wrong, but thats how I've read it anyway. Still very inexperienced)

Western civilization is a bizarre marriage between Greco-Roman values of glory and Judeo-Christian values of humility. I chalk it up to that
I was raised Roman Catholic. Most of my youth, it felt like I was going through the motions. Real doubt began when a catechism teacher explained limbo. The slavery issue would have changed my mind a lot faster.

The slavery issue would have changed my mind a lot faster.

Romans 6:22 (ERV) = "But now you are free from sin. You have become slaves of God, and the result is that you live only for God. This will bring you eternal life."

Ephesians 6:6 (ERV) = "You must do this not just to please your masters while they are watching, but all the time. Since you are really slaves of Christ, you must do with all your heart what God wants."

Be a slave for eternity!!😡
