When Jesus returns to earth He will first appear in the Sky.. The people of the earth who will have survived up till that day will then realize who God actually is.. They will be in mourn because they will have rejected The LORD Jesus and will be lamenting with deep regret their terrible decision..

@in10RjFox I don't know.. He may go all around the earth rapturing His people before He comes down.. Everyone will see Him.. Oh when He comes down the Bible says His feet will stand on the mount of Olives so that is at Jerusalem Israel..

@Adstar This was written when the world view was that the Earth was a disc and flat.
I suspect you view the world governed by Newtonian Physics. Most do.
But the paradigm of Quantum Physics is beyond us.

This poem expresses the eternal truth. That Jesus returns as King to judge both the living and the dead.
Will you be ready?

@SW-User The Bible only declares the world to be round in shape.. It does not say it is a flat disc.. A globe is round in shape..

The Poem? what poem? Also I am ready for His return.. If you are not ready to die then you are not ready for His return.. Because in both instances you will be seeing Him..

@Adstar In my understanding of Matthew 25.
Perhaps Parable would be better
A question of semantics and paradigms I think
I speak the British English of pre internet, of which Iris Murdoch is the quintessential example.
