I think the story about jesus' life is so ironic because it basically reflects

certain people who take things very literally or they don't read for themselves. Or they get some kind of gratification from judging others.

The Pharisees didn't like Jesus NOT because Jesus was healing on the sabbath they didn't like Jesus because he told them that what they were doing was EVIL and against God. They were vain, and greedy among other things. And that is not what they wanted to hear.

They always hung around trying to get Jesus to slip up and say the wrong thing so they could hang him. And eventually, they got what they wanted and crucified Jesus in the end. WELL ultimately to their demise of course.

They were definitely not anything backed up by current evidence. Everything about how old the universe is depends on the big bang being true. Once you take the red shift away from the Hubble LeMaitre Law the dating crumbles.
