OK GOD, I PROMISE NEVER TO LAY WITH A MAN AS I WOULD WITH A WOMAN - AS IT WOULD BE AS MUCH OF AN ABOMINATION TO ME, AS IT SEEMS TO BE TO YOU!
@Yulianna Heh well in Leviticus the language is specific to 2 men, not 2 women.
@Yulianna I have found ZERO bible verses condemning sex between 2 women.
@SpiritualMan There aren’t any. Which is why gay bashing a young lesbian woman on here (a different post) was doubly precious.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan does that mean god does not want my promise?
@Yulianna No not necessarily, but it means that neither is it required of you, it is a voluntary choice you make.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@CopperCicada precious?
@Yulianna What CopperCicada means is he is being sarcastic on it being so precious where some people lump lesbianism with male homosexuality as a sin when the bible doesn't mentioned lesbianism. Precious? There is a gold ring that is my precious....NEVER MIND....nothing to see here.....
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan thank you for trying, but i would like to hear his own explanation...
@Yulianna I think that is what he meant, but if is still lurking here perhaps he can clarify.
@Yulianna He explained. The language is clearly gendered in the Greek.

I also know this by speaking to a rabbi who mentioned the male gendered language in the Torah and it’s commentaries.

Precious as sarcasm by claiming to apply literal interpretation by applying a male gendered verse to a woman on SW.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@CopperCicada i know about the language... i just thought your use of "precious" was strange, but thank you for explaining the sarcasm.
@CopperCicada Ah good, while I have had friendly debates with CopperCicada in the past, and he talked about his past struggles, he is very capable of making many good points.

True when you have questions about Hebrew, go ask a Rabbi. There are communities of Jews near me and I thought about asking them questions some time soon.
@Yulianna The other use of "precious" in reference to a gold ring in 2 movie trilogies or 2 series of books would be that once you are holding the ring over the fires of Mt. Doom inside the volcano, let go and let it melt in the lava, don't give into temptation for the power the ring promises and put it on.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan yes - lord of the rings - are you relating these books to bible?
@Yulianna Not really, although they bring a lot of important lessons to story form. I was relating Copper's use of the word "precious" to the ring being "precious" however.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan then it seems, from his explanation, that you were overinterpreting it
@Yulianna No more to the point I was adding my own sarcastic joke to his. I actually knew what he meant.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan clearly the humour passed me by... i will put that down to my lack of english skills.
@Yulianna Ah I can help you learn more English, be happy to.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@SpiritualMan well, you can see my writings, you can judge what help i need.
@Yulianna Yes indeed, I msged you, but then sent a second one, or tried to, I think you have to reply before I can send another one.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
