@Reverend what does this burning in hell experience actually involve and how long does it last? Will it be like the Holocaust but on a much larger scale to accommodate billions of people and with people surviving despite being incinerated?

@Discotheque as long as it takes for one to pay for their own sin, considering they reject Jesus. The punishment when judged is forever, meaning once the sentence is made there is nothing that can be done to change it. The actual burning shouldnt take long. A person will perish pretty quick.

@Mountainlady16 @Reverend unless I’m misunderstanding, Reverend says it’ll all be over pretty quickly as the victim perishes but Mountain Lady says it’ll last for eternity?

@Discotheque the eternal part to me is the judgment of God. It cant be changed. The wicked Perish, as if they never existed.

@Discotheque yes seems we disagree on that I've always been taught that souls in hell will burn without being consumed forever its their punishment for not turning to God

@Reverend so youre not too far away from the view of the atheist who believes that when we die we simply cease to exist.

@Mountainlady16 I was taught that as well. Though the smoke of fire and brimstone rained down on sodom and Gamorah goes up forever and ever. Perish to me means.. perish. Cease to exist
