I Believe the Bible Is the Inspired Word of God

Jesus, Gods Son, died for the world because we are hopelessly lost and sinful. He forgave us for all our sins so we can go to heaven. All is forgiven praise God what a God we have! He is coming again! It is very soon because all the signs are there that God talked about; increase in knowledge, increases travel, gathering of the Israelites, 1945, increased great earthquakes, and flooding, men are lovers of self more than lovers of God, lawlessness is increasing, and men's heart are growing cold. Jesus said that "this generation" would also see His return to judge the living and the dead.

The original I think I would agree but every time it's rewritten it's changed even tho in the Bible not to change anything .
I wonder what the Bible would look like if not having anything to go by except a modern one it was translated back. How close to the original?

God says in the Bible. "Heaven and earth will pass away but MY WORDS will never pass away." And he said "All scripture is breathed out by God" @Repete

Yes I agree with that also but, there's that but again ,his words will not pass away they will always be here .that doesn't mean in my opinion that everything that is labeled scripture is scriptures from God . Does it not also say many will be deceived by false things .@Carazaa

@Repete Can I ask you a question? Do you believe that God has the power to protect the message in His Word, the Biblical text, and ensure that it is true and correct to His original intent within the limitations of translating the original Hebrew and Greek texts into English (or any other language)?

Many are deceived by false doctrines taught by men it says in the Bible. And in the last book in Revelations 22 Jesus says that if any one add to the words of this book I will add the plagues of this book to him and if anyone takes away from this book I will take away the reward from him@Repete I do not believe that man has altered it because he says it is all God breathed.

@Carazaa through their works you will know them is also written. I agree with part of what you said I'm not as confident in human nature . That may be where faith comes in . I beleive you have to question some things to a point.

Do you beleive once saved always saved ? That's one I have problems with

@ms20182878 God has the power to do that. God also allows things to happen . We don't know his reasoning. we are suppose to follow him but the path is narrow and rocky.

Jesus died one time for humanities sins. He says you must be born again. And I don't think the Holy spirit comes into a persons heart and completely changes it more than one time. "I will give you a new heart He says. So we are new once and for all. "These are those who love me those who keep my commandments." We still sin but we feel ashamed when we do if we are born again, and we shine for Jesus and people will tell by our love! We are walking with God and people will hate us and God because "their deeds are evil"@Repete

@Repete Through reading His Word and believing His Truth and being obedient to Him... He transforms our heart to be able to better know His heart and to be able to walk along that narrow path. So... as we grow... We ARE able to begin to know His reasoning at the level that we need to know it. 😊

Many will come to him on that day ( thinking they did his work) and he will say depart from me for I never knew you.
To this I say yes I agree you have to accept Jesus as your savior he is the only way.
I also beleive you can be saved but choose to go your own way and become not saved ( that may be the wrong way to say it ).

It also says it would be better to have never have known him than to know him then reject him .
The Bible is an interesting book you can read it 100 times and still when you read it again come away with a new view. @Carazaa

@Repete I look at it slightly differently... Each time that I read and study a section in the Scriptures, I come away with a deeper and clearer understanding.

@ms20182878 like reading the Bible ( picturing the Bible as a very hilly and mountainous place) the first time you only see the peaks. After you read and let him lead you through the Bible more times you slowly get closer to seeing the whole mountain and the valleys.

A point that sometimes comes up is when people think they are God and think theycan judge other people's ways.
We as people find it easy to overlook that plank in ourselves and focus on the splinter in others. We always have planks we don't want to see.

@Repete You're right... We need to walk humbly before the Lord... But at the same time we are commanded to go and make disciples and teach them to obey... 😊
