Yes, at times it is exhilarating, fantastic, and wonderful. And there is no other way we would wish to live.
Do not quit. St Paul encourages us in Philippians : I am sure of this , that he who began a good work among you, will bring you to completion on the day of Jesus Christ. 1.6

At the end of his life, Richard Baxter wrote: A Saints Everlasting Rest. The 1750 abridged version is in print. Well worth a read, as he contemplates heaven.

In life, challenges may seem overwhelming, but in these times, we can find great comfort in God’s presence. The awareness that He is always with us brings an indescribable peace. When we feel alone, the truth is that He walks beside us in every storm. As we seek Him, we can trust that He will provide the comfort we need, soothing our fears and worries. Our comforter is not distant; He invites us to bring our burdens and anxieties directly to Him. Let us lean into the comforting embrace of God as we face life’s trials.
