If hes a true Christian he'll forgive you and love you
Sharada · FNew
@TheWildEcho I really hope he forgives me fully. I know, it is not easy for him either. I didn’t handle it well initially. In fact I was terrible.

I'm not for religions but your growth in accepting another's personal choice is admirable.
Sharada · FNew
@froggtongue Thank you for your kind words.

Just have to except him for how he is and just love him.

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

@BlueSkyKing I understand that people have very different views about God, religions and spiritual paths. I am totally ignorant about Old Testament, however my son now probably believe in it. He is a practising Christian. I don’t know what he believes, however he seems to have moved away from the spiritual path where he grew up. I am now at peace with whatever it is.

Among other things, being a parent is a long path to understanding
Sharada · FNew
@Rambler Thank you ❤. Being a parent truly is a lifelong journey of learning, understanding, and letting go of our own expectations. I was controlled by my own expectations about my son and knowingly or unknowingly I ended up controlling his choices. Sometimes life teaches us what fear and differences cannot. I’m grateful for the lessons this journey has brought me and in this process I ended up hurting others, which I regret.

Choice is one thing but brainwashing into religious conversions are on the rise.To tell someone else what they believe is not true is not so kind. That’s manipulation or spiritual abuse.
