Christian’s do good because they think they’ll get into heaven.

Atheists do good just because it’s the right thing to do.

All belief is faith based, otherwise it wouldn't be a belief.
Not sure what you mean by "comprehend", in this context. You can comprehend real analysis, or the theory of metric spaces, or special relativity, but you cannot comprehend "trinity". And, as a result, you have to believe in it.
