Loving Jesus is a non starter. Do you accept Him as God the Son? If not then you are on the wrong side.

@dexterrr22 God the Son did die and He rose again. You don't get to put limits on what He can or can not do. Look at the response of the Roman who had crucified Jesus and witnessed His death. Jesus' death was so unusual the guard said "Surely this man was the Son of God." There is a classic book written some time ago whose title is "Your God Is Too Small". I recommend it to everyone who says "God can't ....." God can and does and did.

@hippyjoe1955 no i don't put limits, he made this logic like this. how can a tall men be a short one at the same time ? how can a fat man be skinny at the same time ? how can black color be white at the same time ? it's the same. god almighty can't be dead he is immortel
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@dexterrr22 Trying to use logic as you do is putting limits on God. The minute you say 'God can't" you put limits on Him. So unless God said He doesn't or won't you have no place in saying God can't or won't. Can God die? Logic may say no but if God says "Yes" then our logic is out the window. Much like the disappearing snow storm or the extra food or the non crushed fingers or the sore back. There is no logic that explains those events but they happened.

... and also Maria/Meryem!

Most Christians would be surprised to know that Islamic scripture has more about the mother of Jesus than is in the Bible.
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@exexec oh yah, they would be surprised if they knew that there's a hole chapter called meriem (mary)

Jesus is the second person of the Trinity.
I don’t think Muslims accept that.

@helenS And John was Jewish. The cousin of Jesus. Does that make him anti Semitic?
helenS · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955 Successive generations of Christians read in the Gospel of John the collective guilt of Jews, universally and in all generations, in the death of Christ. I can't tell if John himself was an antisemite, but what he wrote opened the gates of hell for Jewish people.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@helenS textual criticism disagrees with you. Those were the words of Jesus and John recorded them faithfully.

@dexterrr22 So how do you think Jesus prayed? We have His prayers in the Bible. He even told us how to pray. Do you repeat the prayer He gave us?
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@hippyjoe1955 i know that the first christian was doing it like we do, but i don't know if it's the same in this version
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@dexterrr22 Actually you don't know that at atll. You have been told that but we don't know because it isn't recorded. What we do know is that Christian prayer is not static. it is not recitation of the same lines over and over again since Jesus said not to do that. He cautioned that saying words for the sake of saying words is a waste of time and energy. Talk to God as a son talks to his father. A few weeks ago I was going to bed early I don't know what happened during the day but my back was very sore. It had been getting worse over the last few days but that night it was very painful. AS I lay down I whispered "Dad my back hurts". I woke up a few hours later pain free. What had happened? Another miracle? So it would seem.

It's hard to get a consistent story for what the Quran says sometimes, but consistently I hear them say Jesus was not the son of God and is not given rule and power over the heavens and the earth, and that their prophet is greater
That's blasphemy, but I didn't read it myself to know it's there

@Gibbon 1- we don't reject that he was crucified, we believe that his body was crucified but his soul wasn't and his soul was protected by god, and that's why we believe he will return.
2- seriously, logically , you have more than 77 version of bible, how can you believe that it's not mixed ? that's why we reject your doctrine, and say we have the only truth
