"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord" 2 Cor 5:8

I am not afraid of being dead, but I fear that the process of dying might be painful.

Jesus himself was fearful in the Garden of Gethsemane.

I was confessing to my therapist only this evening that I have no fear. Only am uneasy about having not done my very best in this life. That frightens me no end at times

@saintsong Oh bully for you. I'm but a humble human being who sins a lot but the Lord is merciful enough and we're all but the creation of Him. Lets not forget that either

@val70 Our righteousness is like that of thilfy rags, I too sin on a daily basis, but I come to the throne of God confidently because Jesus Christ washed every single sin away in His blood that drips upon my skin and I embrace Him and want to know Him personally closer than a brother like a love like no other...He gives me Life, and that spirit of life has let me know on a daily basis that I am saved, and that I am blessed! I am not a bully.

@saintsong Nah, I like TR. It's bully that way. “Bully for you” will forever be emblematic of his presidency

Oh death where is your sting? That's what I'm hoping for...That it doesn't hurt too much or that I suffer too much when I awake in Heaven! I keep on getting the fragrance of life that I'm saved, that I'm blessed, and that I am not going to hell, and that I'm going to Heaven.....

@Thinkerbell The Angels I can hear sing in tones similar to this singing Holy Holy Holy and Hallelujah and Glory Glory Glory and that I'm loved and much more, play it quietly as possible because in my ears I have to quiet my breathing to hear them.

Not a Christian, but a firm believer in an afterlife. That being said, I am not in a hurry to lose this body.
@Carazaa What I think happens in the afterlife is that at first, you see exactly the afterlife you were expecting. Then you begin to realize that's only because of your perception, which changes the landscape to fit what you want.

@LordShadowfire Wishful thinking then!
@Carazaa Sorry, can you prove your heaven/hell dichotomy that doesn't even originate with Christianity, but you think somehow applies exclusively to it?
