Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner is a metaphor for man's relationship with god!
Humans pursue the knowledge of god, why does he do what he does, what is his plan, what does he want?! Always out of reach and the aggressive pursuit always ends in frustration and pain. It is only when Wile E. Coyote let's the Road Runner come to him that he gets to see him face to face. It is only when we accept god on his terms that he reveals himself.
