How easy is it for you to be accepting of atheists? In particular, the rude and aggressive ones.

Lately I'm getting pretty irritated by a special kind of atheist, the ones that just stop by Christian posts and leave a 😂 or who make posts belittling or attacking Christians. It seems to be happening more often recently and I've had them pop up on posts that have nothing to do with Christianity.

I think everyone should be able to voice what they believe in a respectful way and its really bothering me that some people can't be kind or just pass on by if it's not in alignment with their world view.

How do you manage this kind of thing? Do you just ignore or do you block? Lately I'm blocking in order to protect my own mental health.

You have to see that those atheists have been raised to view themselves as vastly superior to Christians. They would not dare say a word to Muslims and Jews though !

They were raised to view all christians as murderous, uneducated and peasant like and it is in their duty to mock and treat with disrespect.

Atheists see themselves as the educated ones and logic and reason is supreme.

They also see christians as white old males so...witchhunt is on here !

When a Hindu posts anything about Hindu beliefs here....crickets crickets !

@revenant Wow. That's possibly the biggest load of bullshit I've ever seen you dump on this website. Nobody thinks they are superior to Christians. The reason people don't challenge the beliefs of Hindus, Buddhists, or pagans like me is that we don't shove our religions down people's throats. You don't see pagans at construction sites screaming at the construction workers that the Earth is sacred and they shouldn't dig into her. You don't see Hindus protesting outside of Burger King, trying to make customers feel like shit for eating beef. No, no, the only time you see religious protesters anywhere is when it's Christian's objecting to the fact that the rest of us have the right to do what we want. And that literal holier than thou attitude transfers way too easily to the internet. I've seen more than my share of Christians butting in to shove their religion in everyone's face in places where nobody was even remotely talking religion.

Also reason for you lot not attacking other faiths is that you construed ranks of oppression.

Anything not white male christian is bound to have been oppressed, so you say, by white christian patriarchy.

@Diotrephes I knew it! I predicted this. I said they were going to come after freedom of religion next, and here they go. Can't have separation of church and state. Just goes to show they don't give a fuck about what the founders wanted, either, unless it's convenient to them.

@LordShadowfire Well, in a way it's irrelevant what the Founders wanted because it is our world now and it will be other people's world tomorrow. What is relevant is that people allow the control freaks to oppress them and take away their freedoms (happens all around the world). It is also important to note that no one is brave (or smart enough) to standup to the control freaks and tell them that they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. They don't even know what the f'ing Ten Commandments are. They get their religion from silly-ass Hollywood movies and loud-mouth lying conmen preachers.

@revenant ALL atheists? Really!? Have you managed to identify all atheists from all non-Christians?

Raised to despise religious people? All of them? I daresay some were, just as some were raised in cultish churches to regard their sect and themselves superior to outsiders; but what of those who have minds of their own and decide their religious views solely by their own thinking?
