A question for Christian parents: If you go to heaven but your children go to hell...will you be happy in heaven? Will it be paradise still?

I find one of the more challenging notions about heaven to be the idea that i could be happy in heaven knowing someone i loved had been sent to hell.

What are your thoughts?

As an Indian and not being a biological parent yet having parental affection for many, I feel that I'd be content for those kids been given another opportunity to pay for their sins by being in hell.
@sspec
I'd be content for those kids been given another opportunity to pay for their sins by being in hell.

But they're not "paying" for their sins in the sense that they can eventually pay their debt and go free.
They're just suffering forever. Or, depending on your interpretation, being executed.

You would be happy or content to know that, that was happening to your child?🤔
@Pikachu Think in long term by not just being a parent but a guide. True salvation reaches one with sufferings. Till the time, they won't willingly n readily pay for their doings, they won't comprehend the value of being in heaven aka truly being joyous.
@sspec

I'm not sure if you're envisioning this as a sentence to be served before you then get to go to heaven but that's not it.
But let's say they won't "comprehend the value of being in heaven " ...how does that translate to you being able to be happy knowing that the people you love are suffering?
@Pikachu please reread... In the Longer run...

We all suffer on this planet with or/and without beloveds in xyz forms. That's the reason we all reach here on this planet ... To suffer for our doings.

So, a parent, objectively wud find it just fine to find their kids in hell, post death so that they (kids) understand what Not to do in next lives, if they are returning again.
@Pikachu This person obviously believes in karma.
@sspec

Perhaps the issue here is one of theological views.
There is no " in the longer run" in this context because in this religious arena the assignment of heaven or hell is final. That's the end.
There is no next life.
@EarthlingWise

Yeah that seems to be the issue. A bit strange since we're talking about Christianity here.
@Pikachu Hence, the thread closed for an Indian in me here.
@Pikachu Syncretism doesn't seem to bother believers much.
@sspec Nah, even Christians would find some kinda rationale, or expect forgiveness from Big Daddy .

Hence, the thread closed for an Indian in me here.

Sorry, i didn't quite follow that. Can you rephrase?
@EarthlingWise

even Christians would find some kinda rationale

Well i'm expecting them to. I just want to hear what it is
