@SW-User What makes you think that was persecution. It was government overreach. They shut down the entire economy. The churches were just one of many victims.

@Abstraction So you do know that it is a criminal offence to interrupt church services or prevent a clergyman from doing his spiritual duties don't you? That is in the Criminal Code of Canada. The church rightfully ignored the health orders because the health orders were not applied equally. Not far from Grace Life Church is a Costco. Its parking lot was jammed at the same time as the church was barricaded.

@Confined No they weren't. if you're a christian you should be interested in the truth: they were arrested for breaching public health orders during a pandemic. The fact that they were going to church was no different than if they'd been meeting at a sports club.
Verification: are they being arrested now for going to church now that there are no restrictions?

@Abstraction It was about persecution of Christians. BLM was allowed to do what ever they wanted with out consequence. We know all the health orders were complete BS. Would not have made any difference. Home depot, Lowes and all grocery stores were allowed to remain open.

The health orders were not complete BS. Have you read the bible? Have you never read where isolation was instituted for the early Hebrews? They were 'unclean' and removed themself from the community and place of worship to prevent communicable diseases such as leprosy. Do you know better than God? If you don't understand basic health approaches that have been used for thousands of years to combat pandemics. You do know pandemics spread through human contact either through touch or aerosol (among other ways_? What's your solution? Sick people get together and cough on everyone in a room? Entire cities would be closed down throughout history because it worked and saved lives.
USA became the biggest clown nation on earth with worst COVID statistics on earth. Such a shame. Such a sophisticated country brought low because of the anti-science crap people swallow.
