Why do people worship their favorite imaginary deity out of fear?

The Bible has lots of stories where people were forced to worship the God character out of fear. They were frightened that he would kill them if they didn't comply with his demands to be worshiped. He did kill hordes of people who rejected his demands and he is always threatening to kill all of humanity unless people cater to his every whim.

Are you fearful of incurring his wrath?

I worship Jesus because he died for the worlds sins so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. That is amazingly loving. We are sinners. God says that our hearts are desperately wicked and selfish. He has the right to have high standards that we should be loving, and humble. I wouldn't like a God who doesn't care about sin, rape, murder, hate, lies, cheating, etc. The reason for all the trouble is us, not God. He is not a God who says do whatever and you can get away with anything. A good God has standards. But He is very slow to anger though waiting for us to turn to him. Our lives are short, very short, and then we have to face God. No one gets away with murder, unless Jesus took that sin on his shoulders. We have to repent and be saved, then we are a new creature, loving, and forgiving.

The stories in the Bible are about a nation who were slaves and God freed them because he loved them. The stories lead up to Jesus coming. The stories are spiritual as well as historical with deep meaning about Gods justice and what we really deserve in the Old Testament which is death, and the grace of God in the New Testament, and how he rescues us from certain death because he loves us. The real slaughtered lamb is so beautiful and he takes away the sins of the world.

God is Holy! There are no sins in heaven. We can't make it to heaven without Jesus. When he saves us, He wipes away our sins forever!

That is true. We are that way by design. Seems a little peculiar though that we are created to be evil by default and put into a wicked world but then we are suppose to be thankful that "our" sins can be forgiven.

He knew VERY WELL when he gave us free will that we would be sinners. What did he think was going to happen?

God lets satan and his demons wander the earth but then wants to send people to hell for being tempted by sin every waking moment?

@HoeBag Yes Yahweh is ETERNAL. All time is now for Him. He knew what was going to happen and He willingly took our punishment for us if we will simply accept that free gift. If you refuse that free gift then that is your choice to go to hell not God's. He gave you the Way of life and you tossed it away.

@HoeBag We should ask forgiveness because we are sinners, all of us. God does not hold a gun to your head saying you must sin. He created us to love, but he doesn't force us to love. You can do whatever you want until Jesus comes back, then he will judge every person for their sinful life. If we have hate in our heart, he considers that murder and he will punish us accordingly. But God himself came down and took our sins and shame on his own shoulders because he loves us so if we believe in him, then we will be forgiven for every evil deed we did. I hope you will believe in him too 🙏🙂

@hippyjoe1955 I am not a socialist. I am a social democrat who believes in love and helping the poor and the needy with social programs. A socialist is someone who believes in communism which means everything is owned by the state. I believe in private enterprise and strong caring government who pays for social programs like hospitals, housing the homeless and mentally ill, schools, roads, colleges, transportation.

Sad that you can't see your own failures and instead try to project your fascism onto others who believe in freedom. I am not at all surprised. You also call Jesus a liar even as you pretend you worship Him. Here is a small hint.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ and again “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Jesus said it is NOT the will of the Father that infants and children should perish but you say that abortion is fine thus you approve of the killing of infants which is contrary to the Will of the Father.

Are you kidding? No they don't know at all where light comes from, or nuclei. No one except God knows how stars are formed.

Why don't you tell me where light comes from?

@Carazaa Jesus didn't leave much options. He said if you actively ignore the Will of the Father.... Then you willfully ignore the Will of the Father. Thus you call Jesus a liar. "He didn't really mean what He clearly said". Either Jesus was the Truth the Way and the Life or he is just a crank we can all ignore. I hold that He is God and thus unable to lie. He meant what He said. You can not ignore Him and call yourself a Christian.

The only difference between it and communism is communists believe in a world wide government while fascists believe in national socialist governments. You are a fascist and not a Christian and it is extremely evident. It is not too late. You can still repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and stop calling Him a liar.
