Why do people worship their favorite imaginary deity out of fear?

The Bible has lots of stories where people were forced to worship the God character out of fear. They were frightened that he would kill them if they didn't comply with his demands to be worshiped. He did kill hordes of people who rejected his demands and he is always threatening to kill all of humanity unless people cater to his every whim.

Are you fearful of incurring his wrath?

There are many versions of the bible, and none are valuable.

@FlowersNButterflies well none are actually penned by the guy upstairs. Rather of the Bible was written 300 years after the apostles we're dead. Dead sea scrolls? I think not

@kentex35 I am anti religion. Religion is an evil in the world. I am also a multidimensional reincarnationist, and believe we are the holographic universe.

I believe all religion is childish.

@FlowersNButterflies what is a multidimensional reincarnationist? Holographic universe is what? A projection like in star trek? Is it like a record of the universe? A science? Or a matter of fact? I mean no malice if you have time to tell me.

@kentex35 The unseen, from the physical level, is the reality. There are endless realities, and we create those we want to experience. We are our own creators.

Star Trek has a lot of interesting metaphysical premises.

@FlowersNButterflies no offense intended. I was trying to find a boundary. So you are saying there are no boundaries other than the ones needed to exist in our universe time space mass and what we do with it is our creation. From the big bang to where we are now is just natural and or own selection. Or realities are what we create and find most comfortable for or existence as needed when needed and sorted as needed or altered as we please?
Edit I'm taking shots in the dark to try to catch up for understanding

@kentex35 Yes. We create what we believe we need or want. Important to cull all useless beliefs.

That there are thousands of religions world-wide, with adherents who believe theirs is the true one, is illustrative. But breaking through physical reality exposes that they are all just limited ego constructs.
@FlowersNButterflies i got my bible here.

@markansas If you have guns, you don't need a god.

Just curious but have you ever been shot? I can't imagine the damage that a person suffers even from a non-lethal bullet wound. In the movies they make it seem inconsequential but any bullet wound can be deadly and certainly physically debilitating for life. A wounded person might even start to pray for a recovery.
@Diotrephes yup in the back two inchs from the spine and i was running like hell at the time. it passed threw my shoulder by my neck.. next question?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@markansas I hope you recovered without any lasting debilitating conditions. You could have easily been killed, paralyzed, or bled to death.

@markansas
now my question is why did you ask?
You posted a picture of guns, as if you worship them. Since guns cause so much damage in various situations I wondered if you had ever experience the pain and suffering they cause when used against real people.
