Why didn't any contemporary sources make mention of the zombie apocalypse in Matthew?

The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. Many dead saints got up and went into Jerusalem where they were seen by many people...and this didn't get recorded anywhere except the bible? Where are the extra-biblical records of this amazing event? Heck, even Mark, Luke and John missed that one.
Maybe because the Bible is a collection of parables and allegories and is meant to be taken as stories to help guide you and not as a historical accounting?
I think you're wrong about that and i think there are very few Christians who wouldn't back me up. If the bible is not meant to be taken as having some historical accuracy then one loses the entire foundation for the Christian religion.
