didn't look that way. and my perception of perspective may be "skewed", but it didn't look that way. my grandfather, a prominent theologian, in the community he and his wife were in (both devout Christians) believed in what Jesus and the apostle Paul would say: only you can give them the Word. it's up to them to accept it.

you can't force someone (theoretically) to like mayonaise of they prefer mustard instead. it is what it is. you can't force a doctrine onto someone. thats what your comment looked like. like you were bullying someone into accepting your belief system. even Jesus would'nt have done that.

If the OP had only stuck to the Biblical text, I'd not have responded as I did.

Calling people to believe in/accept Jesus [u]plus your own interpretations of major prophecies[/u] is not the same as calling people to simply believe in/accept Jesus.

It is the "and my additions" approach which has given us the toxic inclusion of the "law of attraction" into Christianity, resulting in a God-Mammon hybrid which has enthralled too many "evangelical" persons (the "prosperity Gospel"). It is used by dishonest persons to insinuate that they have a special relationship with God, like the many self-proclaimed "prophets" who said that they "had a Word from God" that Trump would be inaugurated in 2021.

The OP is a sincere and zealous person, and I want her to be more effective. And there is no Biblical condemnation for telling someone to stick to the text.
