@Entwistle Thank you for the correction, and in all honesty I like to read comments from others because it gives an opportunity for another's perspective, and that was his own, I guess. I probably didn't need to reply but others may not have wanted to also read that kind of remark from others in the category of Christianity. I shared this post only under the religious and spirituality group to that was highlighted under Christianity. It wasn't meant as a public plea unless I categorized it wrong.
It was just my personal experience I shared about my faith. His faith is obviously different than mine, but for some Christians and believers in whatever their faith, have their right to share thier own thoughts whether I agree or not.
I just disagreed on his wording.
I do sincerely appreciate your correction on my Grammer, because I am also an aspired writer and when I make grammatical errors, it is important to me that they are pointed out to me. I call them constructive criticism, which I need if I want to be a successful writer. Thank you kindly for your reply.
Sincerely,

Still a favorite scripture of mine. Everyone’s journey is different but thank God we will all end up with the same home at journeys end. See you there! 🦋🙏🏻

@Evegpt Thank you for such a lovely response. I agree everyone's journey is different. I used to get questioned about my faith, especialy from non-believers and I learned not to question theirs because to me, it's between them and God and that's how I respond with my own faith. I know many Christians who have had a very strong fellowship with the Lord and others who do not, but I've also learned, it's not up to me to judge anyone based on their own personal beliefs if they do or don't. I was married to an Atheist and I lost my faith when I was married to him but somewhere in that journey I found the Lord again and for me, that is the greatest blessing He could give. 🙏❤️🙏

I am not religious . Likely will never be a christian. At most have taoist inclinations which don't require God belief.
I find it cringe worthy how many fellow atheists gang up in harmless threads ;"hey a religious guy over there believes in child marriage and encourages it...but let's harass this lady instead who is just sharing harmless beliefs."
Lot of western atheists in this website have their priorities all messed up. Get a reality check. This thread is not what is wrong with religion.

@Miram yes I'll never understand why some of the atheists on here see the need to be so negative and sometimes downright abusive .

I understand the baptism as an outward show of an inward change. It is a beautiful sacrament that can give reassurance but there is one time that the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us. The Holy Spirit never abandons us even though we will take control of our mind and body despite the inhabitance.

I was only baptized once. I was immersed in the local stream by an old country preacher who told me what had happened when I encountered Christ on that lonely stretch of prairie. When I was an infant I was sprinkled at the request of my grandmother. That was not a baptism. I had no say in it and it was not immersion.

Yes I thank God for saving me as a teenager! I was baptized aged 20, 39 yes ago now and still remember it well!

So, you're a long standing member of a religious cult...
Miram · 31-35, F
@Ynotisay
Calling someone you don't know a cultist is harassment and disrespect. That's been my point since the beginning.
You don't know her and you don't know me and my experiences with her. Trying to argue with me about her not hurting other people is ridiculous. Find something more important to spend your time on.

Thank you for sharing your testimony MamaButterfly.. 🤗
I have some things in comon with you.. I was born into a cathoic family also and was sprinkled with water as an infant, now i don't place any faith in catholic ceremonies like that..
I became a Christian after reading the Bible a gift from a friend at work and discovering the True Way of salvation.. What a happy day when i found out about the Atonement of the LORD Jesus.. How easy was it to accept my Fathers loving gift.. Salvation is easier then drinking water.,. 😁
All Praise, all Glory and all boasting is for the LORD Jesus who suffered death to save us..

@Adstar Thank you as well for reading and for the kind reply. We are much a like, I don't have any association with the Catholic church either, only born into a Catholic family. You've pretty much explained it best, by finding and knowing the True Way of Salvation and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Because God loved the world so much He sent His only Son to die for our sins. No one can get to the father except through Him.
Thank you for sharing your experience as well
