Thank God I am saved.

Yes, I am saved. I am saved by the blood of Jesus. I thank the Good Lord each day for saving my soul.
I've actually been baptized three times in my life.

I was born Catholic and baptized as an infant (being third generation Italian). Then I was converted into a Baptist church when I was about 5 or 6 years old, so I grew up in a Christian home.

When I was about 8 or 10 years old, I was saved after going to a Billy Graham Crusade because I learned about the Lord and how Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I was just learning about Jesus then and was baptized in the church I grew up in, because I came to know the Lord as my Savior.

As I got older though, in my teenage years and adult years too, I strayed away from Him, yet God always had a way of bringing me back.

It wasn't until many struggles and years of anguish that I sought out for the Lord again and it was through that, I found God.
When I came back to the Lord and found His light I was baptized again. (This was in my adult years. My late 30's early 40's I was born again). I am a born again Christian.

Maybe it was through the teachings of Jesus Christ that I learned. Or, maybe it was God himself telling me, I'm not done with you yet, or even maybe this is all in His plan for me, because God has saved me more than once. Whatever it is, I know He has kept me here for a reason. Whatever it is, I believe it's all in His plan for me.

When you read the Word of scripture, it tells us all.
God has become my strength, my hope, my wisdom and my faith.
He became my armor, my protector, my shield, my guidance, He has lead me to know that I shall not put any man before Him.

I can still recall the very first verse I ever learned from the Bible is John 3:16.

His Words are not just in red letters. But it is of the passion of His Father. The Creator, The Almighty God and I thank Him every day for His goodness and His saving grace.

So, you're a long standing member of a religious cult...
Miram · 31-35, F
@BigBulge She is not hurting anyone by being religious.
@BigBulge I didn't speak anything of a religious cult. I'm speaking of my own personal experience with God, and how I've been saved. So to answer your question I am no part of any sort of religious cult!
@Miram Thank You kindly 😊.
I appreciate your comment 😊.

@Miram Maybe yes. Maybe no.
@Ynotisay I said No!

@MamaButterfly You didn't say anything about whether you were hurting someone or not. Which was what I was commenting on. You only talked about yourself.
@Ynotisay Maybe I misunderstood something here.
I wasn't hurting anyone here. I was responding to the comment about the religious cult. I was talking about myself in the original post because it's my own personal experience and that's what I shared.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Ynotisay If YOU don't know, why would you disrespect someone just because they are talking about their faith?
Ynotisay · M
@Miram Well, why would you presume that a religious person is a 'good' person? That's demonstrably false.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Ynotisay

So your answer is that you harass the religious because you don't presume they are good?
Ynotisay · M
@Miram Harass? What? Settle down, huh? The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Ynotisay

Calling someone you don't know a cultist is harassment and disrespect. That's been my point since the beginning.

You don't know her and you don't know me and my experiences with her. Trying to argue with me about her not hurting other people is ridiculous. Find something more important to spend your time on.
