Christians who believe the world is about it end: Do you think children should still be going through school?

If the End Times are now and Jesus' return is imminent, do you feel it's a waste of time and money for kids to be going to school and learning math, science, history, sociology etc?
It's it a waste of time to teach kids to drive? A waste of time to vote?
If you believe most of us will be dead and some of you will be taken up to Heaven within your life, what point is there in learning anything beyond how to be a good Christian?
Should you allow your child to read anything but the Bible?

St Paul thought that there was no point in people getting married because the return of the Lord was imminent.

..........Still waiting...........
@walabby

Yup i remember that. If you're already married then fine but don't go out trying to get married because it's not gonna matter lol.
Yeah i do think it's telling that even Paul was sure that the return would happen within the generation....and Christians have kept being sure of that for the last 2000 years...

@walabby That's super duper not why Paul taught that

@Pikachu Jesus himself said that he'd be back when some of those listening to him would still be alive.

............Still waiting............ :(
@walabby

A HUGE failed prophecy, in my opinion. And one of the areas of the weakest apologetics as well.
@SW-User

Paul was generally against marriage unless you just couldn't keep it in your pants but it was my reading as well that he was saying that there was no point in getting married because Jesus would be returning soon.

@Pikachu The Bible is full of failed or contrived prophecies, historical inaccuracies and contradictions.
@walabby

Agreed.
