If the bible is the inerrant word of god, how do Christians reconcile the obvious edits to the word?

Example: Remember that inspiring story about Jesus and the adultress? He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her?
NEVER happened, even in the context of the NT as a true history.
In the oldest Greek manuscripts, this story doesn't appear. It was added in later versions.

What's up with that?

God foresaw those coming and made sure they'd still be interpreted correctly after the edits.

Which is why there is only one interpretation of scripture...lol oh wait.
But this is an example which is not about interpretation but out right fabrication by later authors.
How do we square that?

I routinely make posts with more than one interpretation. You don't think a deity would be able to do that?

You are totally missing the point. The interpretation someone has of words is the entire point. My response is saying that God intentionally said the words knowing they would be edited. He wanted the edits to happen. The edits aren't destroying his word, it is making sure it gets communicated as he planned. The edits aren't a problem, the edits are necessary so that he is interpreted correctly.

Stop making God dumber than you.

Of course deity would be able to do that. But when the salvation or damnation of its beloved souls are on the line, why would it do that?

So god intended that we should add to his word?
I think the bible disagrees with you on that one...but maybe you're adding that in accordance with god's plan? lol
“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. [c=800000]You shall not add to it[/c] or take from it"
"[c=800000]Do not add to his words[/c], lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."
"[c=800000]You shall not add to the word[/c] that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you."
You're still missing the point. This isn't an edit, it's an [c=800000]addition[/c].

Stop making excuses.

@Pikachu Listen dude, I don't believe in any gods. Your question isn't a gotcha though. It just isn't. It's really fucking easy to explain that. You aren't going to convince anyone with that who doesn't already think that their deity is weak.

Dude, "edit" was your word, not mine. Put addition in there, it's all the same shit to me.
@SW-User

I didn't intend it to be a gotcha. I wanted to hear how Christians reconcile such obvious edits to what they consider to be the word of god.
If it's so easy to explain then i would have expected you to be able to manage it...but you didn't. You just assured me that it's no big deal.
lol maybe next time think things through before you fire from the hip😉
