A few schools of thought:
there’s the "sticks and stones” crowd who don’t think anything verbal justifies physical violence.
There’s the "two wrongs" crowd; Rock was wrong for the joke, Smith was wrong for the slap.
Then a few just think Rock got what he deserved and wish Smith had knocked him flat.
And some think the whole thing was staged.

@bijouxbroussard you forget those that have brought race into the discussion.
@BabyLonia I’m not sure we should even give them a spot as that’s really not appropriate or relevant imo.

@BabyLonia Between two black men ? This is the one time I’d have thought race wouldn’t be a factor.
@bijouxbroussard one would think. But some people always want to take it there.

@bijouxbroussard there are still those that do. I saw it both on Twitter and on here

@BabyLonia I don’t understand what there is to be said.

@bijouxbroussard I personally don't think Will should have assaulted Chris, but that's not because I think Chris's comment was okay. If Will hadn't assaulted him, the headlines would be all about Chris's joke, instead of Will's temper.
