Do you remember lunch time

In your highschool cafeteria?

This is a typical highschool lunch in Rome, Italy. 98% locally grown.

This is a typical highschool lunch in the United States. Where school board contacts are awarded to the lowest bidder.

The plate from Roma looks like restaurant food.

With the U.S. for once we don’t have huge helpings. That’s pretty much what we had, except no fruit, no veggies, not even a spoonful. Hamburgers wrapped in foil and crinkle fries. And a coke.
@bijouxbroussard one thing I always notice when I travel outside the US is you don't see a lot of vending snack machines. In the states snack machines full of junk are everywhere and people munch all day long.
Countries like Italy people eat big meals but they're not hitting the Doritos and Famous Amos in between.

@bijouxbroussard As a former bartender, we need also add to that equation that it's severing age on wine is 16...but not enforced. Everyone gets served. Organic?... Relevant lifestyle choices? In the matrix of it all how are we so different even including our serving size into the mix ? 🤔

@bijouxbroussard A relative of mine has relocated to Denmark. There are NO fat people in Denmark.

(She relocated there after losing her job with the NIH thanks to Musk's DOGE scam.)
If we were lucky, this is what our would look like, and usually we were not lucky
