I don’t do the social media following celebrities thingy. Seems kinda dopey to me.
Miram · 31-35, F
I don't have favorite artist.
I am blocking a lot of people over politics. We don't disagree politically, but they are weak links, dead weight. One rotten apple ruins the entire box. Not letting them waste my time and resources. I respect myself and my own efforts too much to give them space they don't even properly appreciate.

Mine wouldn't.

@rinkydinkydoink Well, thank you for the sentiment! I'm sure you have trivia for your own passions. 😊

@rinkydinkydoink ...well, thank you for noticing, and the very fine compliment. 😊😊😊

No. In fact I am a big fan of a pop culture writer who is vehemently anti Trump. I've let him and his sycophants know of my opinions, and they don't like it, but it is what it is.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@GeistInTheMachine What's so funny about my comment?
midnightrose · F
I doubt it. I rarely use the block feature. I might mute their posts if they spoke about their politics too much.
rinkydinkydoink · M
Of course not - I'm not bloody MAGA for cryin' out loud!

🤔..........I vote for me, not what someone else says their voting for.........Even when it comes to my wife..........Sometime we vote for the same candidate and amendments on the ballot and sometimes we don't. We never vote a straight ticket..........And we never fight over the way we are voting............And I never tell anyone how I voted, except my wife because we always discuss what is on the ballot and the pros and cons of voting for or against....etc..........

I am very particular with social media. I dislike FB and Zuck with a passion and I don't like Twatter or Elongated Muskrat. If someone was a Trump supporter they wouldn't and couldn't be my favorite artist and I don't follow celeb culture. I think that's mostly for low IQ sheep, I'm sorry to say.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Personally I think you get into trouble the second you publicly declare your political and personal beliefs.
And I'm amazed so many well known folks decide to make them public knowing the people that support their art form are bound to find them conflicting with their own.

probably not applicable for 3 reason
1) i am a liberal and so are many celebs for both music and acting
2) I really don't follow celebs / not for music or acting. I admire their skills but got my own life to live
3) I consume social media like a gen x-er / not much at all

No, I'm not special enough to think they'd keep trying to message me to continue an arguement. If my favorite artist started posting things that I disagreed with politically, I'd only need to stop following them.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Starcrossed Maybe they're not deserving of your time.

I followed Bowie in 73 and as I grew up in the 80s I realized there were differences in opinions.
My initial respect of him remained.

No. Everybody is entitled to their opinion in this country, even when they're wrong.

No I have more important things to worry about than a celebrities opinions.

No. I was upset to know that Arnold is anti Trump.
