The thing I don't get about Lily Allen having an abortion is...

How would she ever think she doesn't have the resources for a child in her life?
SW-User
Money isn’t the only reason to have an abortion you know 🙄 maybe she just didn’t want to have a baby
Ontheroad · M
@missyann What is the fallacy... other than disagreeing with you?
missyann · 56-60
@Ontheroad NO ONE EVER has the right to intentionally and deliberately end an innocent human life

As long as this country continues to justify abortion as a choice then we need to release those in prison who were convicted of murder. There is no difference. It is a
“ human “ life no matter how developed it is
@missyann
Why jusge anyone for their choices. It is a legal option so they do have the right to have an abortion. There is no life that is independent, the foetus would not surbvive... if done in the first few weeks it is a few cells.

There are far too many unwanted and unloved kids in the world
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
Having financial resources doesn't mean you have the emotional resources for a child.
@AntisocialTroll Yes, it says a lot about her as a person. I feel sorry for her.
Lily Allen's whole narrative was about how no woman should have to explain or justify why she has had an abortion. This is really about her, her doctor and no-one else.

You have no idea what she has been through and what physical and emotional resources she may have alongside her financial ones. Her body, her choice.
Up to her Matt. She does not value children much.
@sunriselover thing is - children aren't the only way a person can contribute to society or find meaning in life .
I thought socially we had grown beyond valuing women only for their ability to bear children ?
@OogieBoogie yes, I hope so.

But in many societies they are not regarded of equal worth.
@sunriselover that is true .
But she's a first world person, already contributing more than many of us ever will.

She's worked hard to make it in the field she has chosen.

We have 8 billion humans in this world, surely one less isn't gonna break the bank on humanity ?🤷
Surely deciding not to have a child could also be considered a sacrifice ?
It's not like we need more people .
who says she want to be a mother..
the harm it does to the body
the loss of freedome
not all women want this
missyann · 56-60
@SatyrService There is adoption. If you are talking about cosmetic changes in her body this is incredibly selfish.

Anytime you have sex and I am talking about consensual sex, whether you use contraception or not pregnancy is ALWAYS a possibility

Women and men need to accept responsibility for their actions
@missyann Yes, we Agree! that is why some have made the choice to prevent pregnancy in the first place.
an yes
If you are talking about cosmetic changes in her body this is incredibly selfish.
but is that such a bad thing? perhaps such persons are not fit to BE good parents. Maybe their appearance is the KEY to their professional life. If they are NOT having a child,,,who suffers from their selfishness? no 0ne
Adoptions IS a great answer, there are. so many kids need homes

She is privileged, very stupid, and probably mentally unwell. Women, these days, are encouraged to be stupid and selfish. We are the lowest of the low now.

It seems you fell victim to a mob attack in this thread. Know that I am not part of the mob. You have a view, and I am glad you shared it with us.
missyann · 56-60
@sascha Unfortunately so so true
And that's fine .
What Lily Allen decides to do with her life is her business .

I don't imagine she would get you and your choices either .

It's wierd how dudes think they have some sort of vague right or weight of opinion on any woman's personal rights or life choices when it comes to children .

Or the fact that they assume children are the only choice we should have or aspire to in life.
@sascha if you don't know what you do, or what you wrote, then this conversation is over as I'm not going explain myself and you, for you.

Nice chat .👍

@sascha oh look ....there's those insults again 👍.
You're quite good at them. You must use them a lot in your arguments 🤗

Be a darlin' and throw me some more 💋
....but maybe , you know ..... aim higher - try for two different ones instead of repeating the same one twice .✌️☺️

Am i thinking of a different Lily Allen?
Lily Allen the singer already has 2 daughters??

It's not for you to understand
You aren't a woman and every circumstance is different
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
That likely wasn’t a deciding factor lol
calicuz · 51-55, M
I like her song "Not Fair."
travelguy01 · 41-45, M
She just wants to be a Toys R Us kid herself forever
You don’t have to understand, it’s nothing you’ll ever experience. Having a baby can be physically difficult, even life-threatening for many women. Part of what makes it a personal decision.
