@bugeye I didn't exactly grow up in a devout Catholic family - my dad's an atheist and my mom just thought my brother and me would receive a better education by going to a Catholic school. I think attending that school turned me into an atheist and rebel against Catholic doctrine. Also, the way in which child abuse allegations against priests has been handled by the Church higherups has left me so angry and disgusted with the Church I never want to look back.
